About
Raised in Comanche, Oklahoma, my memories take me to the comfort of flowing wheat fields, red clay, and breathtaking sunsets. The landscape is punctuated with ramshackle tenement farm houses, shiny Fords and Chevy’s. It is a place of good folks with fervent determination. The charcoal series is a collective body of work that depicts rural Americans from the 1930s to 1960. High contrast and soft, simple colors are used to guide the visual story.
My passion to constantly learn something new has bridged the pathway to being both an artist and a maker. I often question which one I am. I keep coming back to the notion to run with what inspires me to create and allow that to fulfill me.
